ROLE:
For a prestigious organization based in Zurich, we are looking for an IT Application Manager (Support level 2, UNIX, Scripting and windows). You will join a team of half dozen people in this service and will be in charge of the following tasks. This team is in charge of the application support for a wide portfolio of applications. Your understanding of ITIL is necessary (no need to be certified, although it would be an advantage). You speak fluently German AND English and you currently hold a valid Swiss work permit (L, B, C, Ci) or Swiss passport holder. The incident management activity require that you are available on 24/7 call one week every 6 weeks; this is a mandatory part of this job. You can be available within one month for a long term mission. Your previous experience within the banking and/or insurance sector will clearly be at your advantage to be selected for this role.

Activities:
Controlling, monitoring and ensuring the stable operation of the applications in production, which are a set for the support of business processes in accordance with the agreed service levels and the corresponding service catalogs. Support of the Test Environment team in relation to the availability of user acceptance environments

Incident Management (30% of the time)
Locate Faults (analysis, workaround, recovery) of application-rule faults / errors that are reported by users, system messages and Monitoring. Escalation procedures. Trigger required recovery, restart and restore procedures.
7x24-call service for the managed applications (one week every 6 weeks).
Service Transition and Service Operation
Planning and execution of deployment for the application to releases and key dates (4 to 6 release per year). Employees (specification, testing, rollout) at application Releases. Perform Operational Readiness Checks.
Ensuring and monitoring the productive application operations. Coordinate all activities that serve to availability, recoverability (continuity) and capacity of the application. Perform routine house-keeping activities. Monitoring of-day processing (UC4).
Service Improvement
Further development of the application (tuning, recording the business requirements). Creating Change Requests (Bug reports) for submission of the application evolving. Monitoring Fine-Tuning
Reporting / Documentation
Daily report the activities according to the above disciplines (Operations, Request Fulfilment, Transition, Incident Management, and Continual Service Improvement). Monthly reporting of KPIs
Creating reports with metrics about the transactions. Perform failure of processing and protocols as well as statistics and audits. Mapping of services in service catalogs. Creating, updating, maintaining and managing the necessary documentation (operating manual, Team Knowledge DB, processes, instructions, etc.).
