Position: Communication Consultant
Job type: Contract
Location: This role will be based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, which is commutable from Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Leicestershire, Middlesex and Hertfordshire

Outsource UK are actively seeking to recruit a Communication Consultant for a contract role based with our key financial services Client, that we are working with as a first tier supplier.

The Job:

  • The communication consultant will produce regular articles and messages within the company, and work alongside the HR Business Partner responsible for communication to produce messages and information for publishing and sharing with the company.
  • Often working with colleagues across the company and the group and need to be able to demonstrate a high level of communication skills, political acumen and an ability to structure the internal processes.
  • Produce, co-ordinate and publish the messages, tone and information that is shared with the company.
  • Be able to strike the right tone, develop appropriate content and communicate messages across the company.
  • Understand technology to be able to assist with the introduction of a new intranet on Fatwire.
  • Be able to technologically facilitate the production of photographs, videos, internet articles etc.
  • Assist with the company conference in November 2014.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing communication material through interviewing employees, questioning managers and through a variety of contacts.
  • Writing interesting and exciting articles for a software audience that is not only informative but also delivering communication messages.
  • Write regular business updates for dissemination.
  • Produce a company UK strategy
  • Participate in a global project to change the internal intranet onto Fatwire ensuring it meets UK requirements.
  • Assist with setting up technical information sessions via webinar
  • Confidently and professionally represent the HR team within the company striking the right professional tone.

Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • Strong communication and teamwork
  • Excellent command of English in terms of written and verbal skills
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint user
  • Understand how to produce video, photographs and other communication material
  • Attention to detail and delivery focus - able to follow processes and create new ones
  • Professional 'can-do' attitude
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to prioritise own workload - to manage concurrent activities with short deadlines
  • Understanding of a software environment
  • Desirable
  • Spanish language skills
  • A background in communications or journalism
  • Technology background
