Mechanical Engineer
We would like a Mechanical biased engineer (ideally with the ability to handle the electrical side of a project with suitable technical assistance) initially for 6 months to cover our Herts & North London Area centred at the office in Hatfield.
The engineer does not need to be at Hatfield full time but at least a couple of days a week with site visits etc. We have the following projects to be done.
Replacement of the mechanical aspects of an automated penstock, including interfacing with existing control system and proving fit for purpose.
A package of 4 sites requiring repairs/replacement to flap valves, winches and wire ropes.
Co-ordinate review and refurb of several small hydraulic systems.
Investigation into unreliable actuation on automated, gate weir, including review of controls and PLC.
Feasibility phase study into replacement of automated weir.
Assists with asset condition assessments and maintenance specifications.
