Description
Senior Environmental ConsultantWe are looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our client in their Birmingham offices, to work with their transport and planning team. The position will be primarily working with undertaking policy, SEA, EIA and SA work on a range of infrastructure and urban development projects and you should have a good working knowledge of environmental assessment and management, and knowledge of transportation (particularly road and rail) and general development projects.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of the planning/DCO system, SEA, EIA and project level sustainability appraisal
- Able to work across technical subjects at policy, plan and project levels
- Experience of DMRB, working with local/ national government organisations and organisations such as the Highways Agency and Natural England
- Familiarity with health/ social impact assessment and the emerging health agenda
- SEA/ EIA skills
- Project level sustainability appraisal
- Project management
- Social Value skills preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- An interest and/or experience in various forms of environmental consultancy work
- Experience of reporting to elected members and/or private/public sector clients.
