Description
Work tasks include but are not limited to:- Requirements Elicitation, Understanding, Analysis, & Management - Understand the requirements and perform the appropriate gap analysis for a particular platform/technology.
- Development and Testing - Develop the solution for a given technology that effectively meets the requirements and functional specifications. Develop clean code for maintainability and efficiency standards. Complete development tests within each project according to acceptance criteria and system component integration needs.
- Testing & Debugging - Work closely with the Solution Quality Analysts by providing debugging and testing assistance as needed to meet project objectives.
- Documentation and Deployment - Create technical documentation (assets) in the code per coding standards and assist as needed in the documentation creation for the products' customers.
- Create the artifacts needed to ensure the software is migrated efficiently through the needed environment life cycles.
- Develops own and the team's expertise to effectively meet client needs by problem solving distinctive solutions
- Forms insights based on client needs, own expertise and the company's capabilities; shares even if they differ from clients point of view
- Contributes to proposals and bid processes for clients and prospects
- Prepares for client work by familiarizing oneself with company knowledge and experience relevant to the type of client and/or problem
- Develops own and the team's expertise to effectively meet client needs by problem solving distinctive solutions
- Works effectively with others of diverse backgrounds, perspectives and styles
- Understands and implements best practices to meet client needs
- May also be responsible for coaching other team members and performing quality reviews of the work of other team members.
Role Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university (preferred concentration in Math, Actuarial Science, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, MIS, Engineering)
- Master's Degree in related areas a plus
- Minimum Experience of at least 1-2 years
- Experience with the following is required: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery
- Twitter Bootstrap, Joomla, PHP, Java and MySQL are all pluses.
- Ideal candidate should also have good sensibilities with UI design and practices that lead to successful and maintainable sites.
- Should be deep in his/her technology and domain specialty, but have learning agility and versatility to learn technology outside his/her specialty to improve delivery.
- Should also have a team-first mentality, and be willing to help other team members in order to improve the delivery success.
