Progressive Global Energy has been tasked with sourcing a Procurement Analyst for an Exploration and Production Company in Houston, TX. This client has an international presence as well as involvement specifically here in the Eagle Ford, as well. They are seeking a qualified candidate that is willing to grow and establish their career providing support to their Supply Chain Department. Please see below for a list of responsibilities and qualifications a successful candidate must have:Job Responsibilities:
*Coordinate requisition processes, issue purchase orders, contracts and other documents related to the purchasing function.
*Assist with bid specifications and other necessary documents related to purchases.
*Maintain contact with vendors, obtain information about new products, evaluate vendor performance, and may conduct inspections of vendors. Review and recommend appropriate vendors depending on cost and quality of bid specifications.
*Confer with department managers and employees relative to purchasing procedures, purchasing needs, complaints and special problems.
*Analyze strategic sourcing initiatives. Maintain quality performance metrics.
*Assist with purchasing budget. Ensure all purchases are made within budget strategy.
Skills & Qualifications:
*Knowledge of contract negotiation process
*Knowledge and understanding of RFPs, SLAs, and vendor scorecards
*Good organizations skills
*Good negotiation skills to interact with vendors
*Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
*SAP experience and knowledge is desired
*Spanish language is a plus
**Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
**3-5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain/Procurement in the oil and gas industry.
