Description
Our client based in Berkshire are looking for a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead and organise the safe commissioning of a portfolio of Projects to ensure they are carried out safely, to quality, cost and time and that the appropriate legislative requirements and the clients own standards are followed. The client operates in the nuclear sector and the role is an initial 12 month contract paying up to £65 per hour.
Key accountabilities
*Deliver the commissioning requirements of all projects from design to end of inactive commissioning safely and to support facilities through user trials and active commissioning, to quality, time and cost.
*Ensure the standards, procedures and work instructions underpinning commissioning are followed
*Ensure commissioning teams are appropriately organised and that key personnel are demonstrably competent to undertake their roles
Qualifications
*B.Eng. or B.Sc. (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or HNC/HND or apprenticed trained
*Associate/Full Member of IMechE, IET, Inst Physics, CIBSE or equivalent
Knowledge
*Extensive knowledge and experience of the commissioning of building services equipment
*Extensive knowledge of the commissioning of electromechanical and pressurised systems
*Extensive knowledge of the commissioning of process plant and equipment
*Technical knowledge of nuclear safety and performance
*Subject matter expertise in Commissioning, Project Management
Experience
*Demonstrable experience in commissioning and project management
*Experience of working on nuclear licensed sites
Skills
*Knowledge of the development marketplace - the trends, the range of providers and leading edge thinking.
*Tools to deliver superior performance in a manner that achieves commitment and buy-in
*Well developed influencing and problem solving skills
*Ability to develop and syndicate a plan from a blank sheet of paper
*Excellent relationship management skills excelling in delivering appropriate and tailored solutions in a cost effective and commercial way
