Senior QA Engineer
Our client, a leading global mutual fund manager has an opening for a Senior QA Engineer to ficus on the full functional and automated testing of their platform.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans for verifying new applications - requires deep technical skills (SQL, PL/SQL, Java)
- Develop deep domain knowledge in terms of requirements, features, functions, data models and business rules
- Be effective working on a small team in an agile delivery environment
- Build/maintain an automated testing framework (Cucumber/Java/PLSQL) that facilitates rapid development of test cases
- Ensure adherence to QA process best practices including defect management, test case execution and metrics reporting, requirements traceability, component-based test design.
- Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities in processes, standards, and procedures in the test automation space.
- Lead test strategy, test plan, test case and defect review meetings with business analysts, developers and fellow QA team members
Skills and Knowledge:
- Must have extensive experience in Back End testing using SQL queries. Be able write complex SQL queries specifically on Oracle databases
- Must have the ability to interpret complex PL/SQL procedure code and write basic procedures for test automation purpose
- Must have working experience in a Java environment
- Able to read Java code and have basic Java coding skills is desired
- Experience testing applications on a UNIX/Linux platform - expertise using basic UNIX commands and basic Shell Scripting skills is desired
- Familiarity with IDE configuration (Eclipse), ORM Frameworks (Ibatis, MyBatis, Hibernate), Project Build Toos(Maven, Ant), Source Code Repository Tools (ClearCase, GitHub, Stash, SubVersion)
- Knowledge of test automation Scripting tools (Cucumber) is desired
- Experience working in an Agile environment using an ALM tool is desired
- Experience with testing management utilizing QA tools (HP's Quality Center) is desired
- Experience working in Financial Service Industry is desired
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and related tools (Jenkins) is a plus
