This is a great opportunity for a driven and experienced communications executive to join one of the leading global events organisers. This one year maternity cover contract will be based within a close team as part of the sales & marketing team, which supports business units throughout the world in all activities related to managing sales and marketing performance.

In this role, you will be required to lead an effective communications strategy to stakeholders throughout the business, and to support the global team in regular activities. This may include responding to information requests, and taking responsibility for part or all of certain projects.

Key responsibilities:
Preparing for and participating in monthly conference calls, workshops, and tri-annual global meetings. This includes coordinating participants, preparing and distributing materials, note-taking, record-keeping and reporting.
Arranging and hosting routine and ad hoc meetings and conference calls with team members and stakeholders.
Leading the sales & marketing communications strategy, including creating quarterly email communications, presentations, videos etc. and distributing to a wide variety of audiences.
Reporting on communications and refining the strategy where necessary.
Researching and implementing new methods of communication and media solutions.
Managing the content of web pages on the global intranet, including liaison with Corporate Marketing for updates and development.
Collating, editing and polishing reports and presentations.
Coordinating specific projects, including liaising with stakeholders for information, developing appropriate analysis tools, presenting results and findings, and implementing standard procedures ensuring common terminology is used.
Responsible for consistency of look and feel and branding of documents and initiatives, including liaising with creative agencies to develop materials such as graphics and logos.
Managing a budget and spend to date, record-keeping and reporting to management team.

The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to think strategically, and effectively implement relevant programs and materials.
High level of attention to detail.
Proven experience as an internal or external Communication Executive.
Excellence in written and oral English.
Able to work in a diverse and multicultural team. Possessing drive, energy, maturity, and ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
Shows ownership and initiative - able to operate with minimal supervision knowing when to consult / inform.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
Fully understanding of the value and influence an effective communications strategy can deliver.
Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise competing tasks.
Able to analyse written information and results and summarise effectively.
Able to create concise and regular reports.
Excellent MS Office skills, in particular PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
European language skills would be beneficial, French in particular.
Degree educated preferable.
