My client, a global digital media agency requires a Senior Sitecore CMS Developer to lead the lead the development of a new client CMS project and create online applications for web & mobile devices.
You will also work in conjunction with the Digital Producer and our clients business owners to maintain & improve a site visited by 300,000+ monthly of this internationally renown corporate in the travel & tourism industry.
Your responsibilities:
> Establish development standards and processes to help create a small, self-sufficient developer team focusing on this client's site.
> Train and mentor .NET/ C# developers more junior than yourself.
> Understand when to involve or escalate to the account manager.
> Work with and extend the continuous integration & automated deployment tools set up.
> Continuously review existing code assets and propose areas requiring re-factoring.
> Support with automated browser and unit testing.
> Changes made to the website fall into a wide range, from simple content updates of existing pages to medium-sized projects that require new/changed functionality, complemented by content pages.
You must have:
> Strong development experience in CMS - ideally Sitecore - strong knowledge of Umbraco, Kentico, EpiServer etc
> 7+ years of OO / MVP development in ASP.NET & C# , including robust experience working with IIS, LINQ and MS SQL server
> Experience with message queues and windows services
> Experience with MSBuild and CI (Hudson/Jenkins/TeamCity)
> Experience with distributed source control systems (GIT/Mecurial)
> Work experience as external consultant
> Focus, patience and drive while being comfortable in client-facing communication
> Highest standards of written and verbal English communication skills
> Be able to demonstrate sensitivity to a websites overall user experience and information architecture
Bonus criteria that will make you stand out:
> Sitecore developer certificate
> Direct experience with Sitecore DMS module
> Solid practical knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
> Exposure to Agile methodology
