Platform OS, C, MULTI THREADED, MULTI PROCESSOR, X86, LAYERLocation: Hampshire
Rate: £38 - £40 per hour
Duration: 6 months
A well known company has created a new position in its platform services team. Your role will be to ensure successful resolution of technical issues, from analysis to implementation and delivery.
Contractors Role:
Analysis, Design, Implementation and test
Maintain existing codebase
Some travel required
Desired Requirements
The perfect candidate will be an experienced and talented embedded software engineer to join a large organisation and make an immediate impression on a high-profile project.
The Candidate will also have:
Solid commercial full lifecycle software development experience
Proven experience of programming in C in embedded, multi-threaded and multi-processor, real time environments
Experience with real time operating system, device driver and board support package development.
Experience debugging hardware issues.
Experience with standard source code management and defect tracking tools
Experience in debugging and performance tuning of TCP/IP stacks
Experience of protocol stacks at Layer 1.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python and VBScript.
Previous experience with latest generation Intel based X86 architectures
