Salesforce Developer - Finance Sector Salesforce Developer

Our client, a finance sector organisation, is looking to recruit the services of an experienced Salesforce developer to work in the city.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of application software and services relating to Salesforce. Therefore a solid understanding of all business aspects of Salesforce within the financial industry is essential. 

Close working relationships with business customers and stakeholders will be required as well as working closely with colleagues across different technology areas.

Other key responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing tasks and workload to ensure agreed dates and timescales for deliverables are met.
  • Carry out the analysis, design, specification, testing, implementation and documentation of high quality, effective software (major projects and enhancements) for integration into the systems environment.
  • Work closely with Team Leader, IT Project Managers and Business Analysts to agree development estimates and timescales.
  • Work closely with the Testing Team to agree testing strategy and timescales
  • Communicate application development status/progress to IT Project Managers or Team Leader as required. Ensure that potential opportunities, risks and issues are identified and if necessary, escalated in a timely manner.
  • Work with the Back Office Development and CRM Systems Manager and Accounting and CRM Systems Team Leader to ensure a clear understanding of Newton business strategy and direction. Keep abreast of industry changes, identifying opportunities
  • Travelling as required when work demands dictate.

Personal competencies

  • Salesforce certified developer - minimum of 3 years Salesforce development experience within the financial industry
  • Strong communication skills - the ability to express ideas effectively and clearly (both verbal and written) is an important facet of the job
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills - ability to relate well to all levels of staff and management as well as to key stakeholders
