General Practice Surveyor, Property Services - 6 month Contract - Immediate Start
We are recruiting for one of the nation's largest commercial companies who provide an extensive range of construction services including construction management, general contracting, design and build and preconstruction.
The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for highly efficient, strategic individual to join our team in London Victoria on a 6 month contract with possible extension to 12 months. The successful candidate will join our Legal and Property team, managing a number of major property projects consequent upon strategic imperatives of the business.
Key Requirements
- deliver and maintain a fit or purpose and cost effective property estate
- ensure property estate meets business standards with control over FM Provision and Security
- ensure estate properties remain legally compliant
- provide an effective service and process for the identification, acquisition, lifetime management and termination of properties occupied by the business
- Increase the capability and capacity of the business to proactively manage its property and security interests both commercially and creatively
- support operational management and staff on property and security matters
- create a culture of strong customer focus and to continually improve the performance of services to meet the businesses changing needs and expectations
- drive cost efficiencies to ensure a high performance and cost effective service which provides value for money to internal Division customer
- Identify key opportunities for rent negotiation
- liaise with the Group Property Director to ensure that the business Property strategy and actions align with Group
- ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
You
- Professional qualification (eg Legal or MRICS) or having the appropriate demonstrable experience
- Practical and demonstrable experience of linking property management outcomes to organisational strategy in large complex and diverse organisations
- Practical understanding of the legal and commercial aspects property management, opportunities and risk
- Negotiation and completion and complex property transactions
- Ability to manage a portfolio of projects, and deliver to time and budget, whilst meeting operational objectives
