SAS & SQL Programmer - Oakland, CA
Job Summary
This 4 month contract opportunity is for a SAS Programmer role for a major health care provider. The individual in this role will be responsible for the analysis and reporting of strategic initiatives for performance improvement, along with data consulting to various client groups. Projects may include partnering with multi-disciplinary teams chartered with improving access, delivery, and quality of care. You will also support the regional and local clinical teams in meeting their goals through the development of analysis, measurement design, and reporting. Other duties include solving data and reporting issues; managing and prioritizing multiple projects; and researching information located in the data systems supporting electronic medical records to help with data discovery for project scoping. You will be responsible for scoping out new projects; managing work and maintaining open lines of communication with business clients; and consulting with other departments and regions as appropriate on specific projects.
Requirements include the following:
Experience with managerial and performance reporting and analysis
SAS and SQL programming and EXCEL skills required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to scope a project and determine requirements with clients
The ability to work with, and across, multiple complex project teams
Problem solving skills and results orientation
Customer service orientation
Exposure to healthcare operations preferred

Educational Requirement: Masters preferred. Bachelors required plus additional experience.
