My client is a first tier machine builder who is responsible for the specification, design and engineering of high tech/precision modules, professional products and capital intensive equipment. Right now they are seeking a talented System Thermal Architect to join the team on an initial 12 months contract basis with the scope to turn into a permanent position afterwards. This job is located in the Netherlands.

Job Mission
The System Thermal Architect specifies and delivers high level mechatronic system solutions for the new professional products and enables the optimal thermal functionality and cost effective engineering of these systems.

Job Description/ Main Responsibilities
The main tasks are related to the Development process within the organisation following the PGP (Product Generation Process):
- Feasibility phase: Study the Customer Requirement Specifications (CRS) and investigate the feasibility of thermal concepts.
- Definition Phase: come up with Description of System Design Requirements and Specifications (SDS).
- System Design Phase: generation of system design concepts
- System Verification: Verification of design / the chosen concept on the requirements
- Contribute to system roadmaps on thermal aspects.
- Participate in further development of needed critical Flow & Temperature control competences.

Skills Requirement
- Master in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Flow and Temperature control.
- At least 8 years of experience in creating new equipment concepts (or large complex modules).
- Experience with mechanical design principles, dynamic behaviour, material properties, contamination control, cleanroom environment, vacuum design rules.
- Excellent knowledge of (FEM) calculations in the area of thermal management, flow control on liquids and gasses.
- Experience with 3D design tools (preferably NX or PRO-E) and TeamCenter.
- Experience with ANSYS, Hyperworks, Matlab, Simulink or related development tools.

Personal Skills
- Abstract thinking, out-of-the box thinking, analytical attitude.
- Helicopter view.
- Communication: Effective communication with all levels and disciplines; Clear and structured way of reporting.
- Networking. Build and maintain networks throughout the organisation and also outside the organisation.
- Able to challenge others, to come up with even better ideas.
- Good knowledge of the English and Dutch language.
