Description
A late stage pharmaceutical company is seeking a highly qualified Medical Director. This candidate will preferably specialize in Nephrology or Cardiology. The appointee will work under guidance from the VP, Clinical Development, and will be responsible for both the strategic and tactical execution of new clinical trials, as well as the execution of a clinical development plan.The optimal candidate will be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and will bring significant experience in clinical drug development. This candidate must also have a proven track record of increasing responsibilities and recognition of success within the pharmaceutical industry.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
-MD degree required (specialty in Nephrology or Cardiology preferred)
-Successful completion of clinical Phase I, II, and III studies
-Recognized track record within the pharmaceutical industry
-Ability to lead a team and take responsibility and accountability in making results-oriented decisions
The company is based in Redwood City, CA.
