SAS Technical Analyst - Edinburgh - Contract - £Negotiable

My client a leading bank in Edinburgh is looking for a SAS Technical Analyst for a 6 month rolling contract, to work on a large divestment project.

Deliverables:
  • Actively consider the inherent, material risks of the business/organisation. Analyse the risk profile and seek confirmation that the risks are being appropriately identified, assessed and mitigated to the desired level (i.e. within Risk Appetite).
  • Establish and deploy robust risk and control frameworks which meet the strategic needs of the Group, including communication, training and awareness of these frameworks.
  • Provide expert support and advice to the business on the management of the risks which are overseen or controlled. This includes interpreting and complying with the relevant risk policy standards and risk management framework.
  • Conduct suitable assurance to ensure 1st line compliance with policies/responsibilities. Provide senior executive with relevant management information and reports and escalates concerns where appropriate.
  • Lead the investigation and understanding of data sources and tables deployed to / on existing data environments Athena, Teradata and Qlikview such that detailed business requirements can be prepared for migration.


Experience:
  • Development and design of SAS is essential. DI Studio and SQL experience is essential. Must have leadership skills.
  • Financial Services / Banking experience, preferably from a retail risk or credit risk background.
  • Worked within a project / change environment.
  • Worked on a system and / or data migration project.
