Sybase & MS SQL DBA - Our client, a major international financial services company, is currently looking for an experienced Database Administrator with skills focusing on Sybase and MS SQL. This is a fantastic contract opportunity to work in a multi-cultural & fast-paced environment:- Install, maintain, operate and support the Sybase & MS SQL Infrastructure Environment in a new zone
- Restore , Backup and clone of DB instances
- DB environments and components understanding
- Incident management for the DBs in scope
- Proactive application/project team co-ordination during incidents
- Problem/Issue resolution (System & Performance)
- Database Object Performance/ Tuning
- Knowledge management, including documentation
- Automation
- Look after the availability, integrity and security of data in the projects database
- Document service and ensure readiness to integrate service into a Managed-service contract
