Description
Systems Engineer required for a leading global aviation company based in Cheltenham. In this role you will utilise your experience and expertise to solve systems engineering problems.
Member of the system verification team working on the verification of a complex aircraft electrical power system. Tasks involve designing system tests to satisfy requirements, documenting the test procedures in DOORS and writing test scripts to automate the test where possible and compiling test reports. The role will require periods of time working on the test rigs running tests and troubleshooting test failures.
Required
- Familiarity with requirement verification and systems engineering V-model
- Ability to critically review aerospace system requirements
- Experience of DOORS requirements capture tool
- Experience of script writing for automated testing
Experience of one or more of the following aerospace data bus interfaces:
- ARINC 664
- ARINC 429
- RS485
- Experience of script writing for automated testing
Desirable
- An understanding of aircraft electrical power systems
- Knowledge of industry standards ARP4754A and/or DO-178B
- DOORS DXL experience
- Experience of DIMENSIONS configuration management tool
- Some knowledge of aviation software
- Good team working skills and excellent communication skills.
