Description:
The purpose of this role is to lead functional analysis for the field applications developed in .NET for complex applications used for maintenance of the gas network.
In the context of projects being developed in .NET integrating with system such as SAP, you will be in charge of identification of the functional requirements, the translation of those into a functional analysis.
As functional analyst in charge of the Field Mobile Applications, you will be SPOC between the business and developers / architect to insure full understanding, modeling of the business requirements & processes relative the gas network maintenance & metering.
On a daily basis, you participate in support interventions on (critical) production systems. In the context of the maintenance or projects, you will participate in sorting, prioritizing and sizing the developments required to answer the requirements.
As lead analyst, you will define possible points of improvements either for pplications or for team operations. You will also produce IT specifications based on the CBD principles and making use of the most suited modeling tools following our client's methodology.
Based on your experience in mobile application, you will assist the developers in producing a quality code, based on the specifications.
You will also coordinate the development process, insure or execute regression, acceptance testing of the application modifications/releases.
You will be in charge of the redaction of user manual, release notes & possibly training to end users.
Tasks:
- lead functional analysis for the field applications
- analyze, understand and document business requirements or problems
- analyze existing documentation and gather information from within the Project Team and from the business
- take initiatives for meetings with the business and the team and be responsible for the follow up
- document business processes using Activity Diagrams
- produce functional system specifications compliant to the methodology standards, CBD oriented (Component Based Development)
- produce business component interface specifications compliant to the methodology standards (CBD)
- produce & follow-up test scenarios on a component and system level
- review functional system specifications of peers
- review business component interface specifications of peers
- act as SPOC for all functional questions during the development process and being the connection between the customer and the IT product team.
- write the high level analysis (via activity diagram, use cases, requirements, process flow...) with the appropriate level of detail based on input from the business
- facilitate estimation and planning sessions
- daily assure common understanding and sharing information with the complete IT
product team (via SCRUM meetings...)
- insure application of project guidelines & up-to-date documentation of the analysis,
architecture, project meetings, project steering committees...
- facilitate definition of Solution Architecture together with Architecture Office
- coach and train analyst taking part to projects/support
- collaborate with SAP PM Analyst in the detailed functional & technical analysis.
- execute follow-up on the implementation
- assist in the redaction of user manual, release notes & possibly training to end users
- provide recommendation through passed experiences to improve business processes
Requirements:
-strong functional analytical and project management skills at least 10 years
- background knowledge on industrial network maintenance (electricity, gas,...) is an asset
- sound knowledge of the UML modeling language
- sound knowledge of Business Process Modeling techniques (including Role Activity Diagrams)
- sound knowledge of the CBD principles
- knowledge of GUI design and user-friendliness oriented design
- knowledge of architectural techniques and structures
- good technical affinity, able to do bottom-up reconstruction of application functionalities,
starting from technical documentation or even codebase.
- analytical and synthesizing skills to clearly define problems and requirements and determine solutions for them that suit the with controllable impact on mission
- critical applications
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- strong experience in the development of
industrial applications for field usage using
local Database, touch screen, mobile connectivity (MS SQL Server Express, SAP Mobile Platform, Toughpad, Toughbook...)
- preferably experience with integration with
SAP PM (used as backoffice)
- the ability to analyze functional problems and to choose the most appropriate solution
- the ability to produce precise and formal specifications for systems or business
components compliant to the methodology standards (CBD)
- fluency in the use of the following tools:
o documentation-communication tools (Microsoft Office or equivalent)
o modeling tools (UML based CASE tools like Enterprise Architect)
o change and configuration management tools (MS VSTS)
o project reporting tools (timesheet reporting)
- sound knowledge of technical matters like databases, database queries, .NET architectures, code sourcing with preferably experience with Offline application using local Database (MS SQL Server Express, SAP Mobile Platform...)
- able to do bottom-up research for problem diagnostics and / or requirements impact
analysis.
- experienced in SCRUM & best as SCRUM Master
- experienced in ITIL or similar
- affinity with rugged laptop/tablets
(Toughpad, Toughbook...)
- Knowledge of design pattern
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- excellent verbal and written communication skills in French, English, Dutch
- skills when interviewing users; listening actively to their needs, asking the right questions and interpreting the answers accurately
- ability to communicate the semantics of formal and precise models to users in a digestible form
- ability to communicate the details of the specifications to developers
- ability to interact professionally with a diverse group and subject matter experts
