Description
Key responsibilities.Undertake 3GPP LTE feature analysis and technology study activities for the MND. Activities will include:
1.Undertaking technology research in assigned topics and authoring Technology Study
Documents
2.Contribution to authoring and review of 3GPP / other forum standardisation document
3.Producing Systems analysis documents for LTE/LTE Advanced features
4.Contribution to other technical areas e.g. Product Requirement/ Product Specification
Reviews, RFI/RFP response contributions, Customer support etc.
Knowledge and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
1.Experience in undertaking applied research in Mobile Network and Radio Access
technology (e.g. - LTE/ UMTS/ WiFi) with an understanding of architecture, protocols and
functionality of mobile communications.
2.Experience of Systems analysis and design activities for mobile telecommunications.
3.Familiarity with Call Processing and Real Time embedded systems concepts and design.
4.PhD and/or telecommunications industry related research experience
Occasional UK and overseas travel will be required.
