Quality Engineer (Supplier Management) - 6 Month Contract - Medical Device - ILMy client, a growing Medical Device company is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer. This is fantastic opportunity to join an up and coming, cutting edge Medical Device Company in the Chicagoland area. In this role as a Quality Engineer you will be leading an effort to develop a Purchasing/Supplier Control System.
Contract Length: 6 Months
Rate: $80-$120/hr (depending on experience level)
Location: Chicagoland
Title: Quality Engineer
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering or related field
- 5 years experience in quality engineering
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA Regulations
- Excellent Purchasing experience
- Excellent Supplier Quality experience
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to act as team lead
- Experience implementing Quality Systems
Responsibilities:
- Perform Gap Analysis to get procedures up to current standards, ensure that the supplier management system is compliant with FDA regulations and ISO 13485
- Develop Purchasing/Supplier Control System
- Perform Supplier Quality Audits
- Writing/Updating procedures as required to ensure the Supplier Quality management system is compliant
- Develop and implement Supplier Scorecard and monitor Supplier performance
