Description
This is a pure hands on VB.NET Winforms development role within the company's end-user Payments, Verification and Account Management processes side of the business. You will have very strong VB.NET Winforms and general middle-tier VB.NET web services development. The business is highly reliant on SQL Server so deep T-SQL knowledge and experience with database design / performance tuning would also be highly beneficialKey Skills:
* Broad understanding of VB.NET (VB/C#)
* In depth understanding of SQL Server
* Web services (SOAP, REST) - XML & JSON
* Windows Services
* Winforms apps
* Message Queue Technologies (Solace) - Particularly Publish / Subscribe
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Working within regulated processes (particularly PCI compliant processes)
* Previous experience of working with high-availability, multi-user, n-tier, distributed applications
* Understanding of clean coding techniques using VB.NET Winforms
* Sound working knowledge of Crypto. (Public / Private key, symmetric vs asymmetric encryption, hashing algorithms).
