Our client, a leading global mobile telecommunications company, is looking to recruit a Network and Service Modelling Expert to join their new Development Center in Athlone. The Development Center has been created to allow the company to deliver the highest quality OSS and BSS systems to their customers and place themselves as a leader in management software for communication systems.

This role will strengthen an existing team to add deep model driven development and model driven architecture to the existing architecture and proof of concept team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Acting as lead architect in network fulfilment and service orchestration
  • Architecting a next generation system to provide a single, network-wide, interface to all network devices, applications and services, as well as a common modelling language and data store for both services and devices.
  • Add deep knowledge of NFV DDN Orchestration configuration management concepts
  • Guiding and directing development teams to help realise to next generation architectures
  • Architecting and developing agile proof of concept in next generation configuration management

To be considered for this exciting new position, you will require the following experience and skills:

  • A proven and successful background in R&D within the OSS/BSS domain, with model driven development
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of configuration management concepts
  • In depth understanding and knowledge of current telecoms and networking concepts
  • Strong skill in network and service modelling in YANG
  • Familiar with Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts
  • Skilled in object-oriented design techniques (eg Design Patterns)
  • Good understanding of language parsing
  • ORM tools such as Hibernate,OpenJPA, or other JPA based solutions
  • Build tools such as Maven
  • RESTful webservices
  • Eclipse modelling framework EMF
  • Knowledge of Tail-f NCS and or Similar Multi-vendor configuration tools
  • MDA and code generation
  • Using OCL with EMF
