Description
Manufacturing Technician/Pharmaceutical Technician required for a world leading healthcare company based out of Amersham for a 3 to 6 month initial contract with the opportunity to continue this for at least 1 year.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Processing, assembling, dispensing and packaging radio chemicals, radiopharmaceuticals or radioactive devices in accordance with established procedures.
* Accurately review and complete all batch records and related documentation.
* Preparation and set-up of associated equipment and materials, ie ion chambers, welding units, seed counters, block heaters, autoclaves, etc.
* Comply with all applicable Environmental Health and Safety, Health Physics, Quality System Requirements and Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
* Troubleshoot basic equipment problems by communicating with the Lead Technician.
* Assist in writing Investigation Reports and initial Unscheduled Work Orders.
* Utilize Trackwise program to track equipment maintenance and Medina system for web-controlled documents.
Required Qualifications and experience:
* Associated degree (or local equivalent) or a minimum of 12 months experience working in a healthcare or related manufacturing environment
* Basic computer/data entry skills and Mathematical skills.
* Able to perform shift/weekend work as required and allowed
* Must be able to lift 35 lbs or more
* Experience of working to strict Quality and health and safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications and experience:
* Associates degree plus 2 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience working with radioactive materials and/or radioactive isotopes.
* Experience working with Access database programs and manufacturing equipment such as ion chambers, autoclaves, pyrogen ovens, counters, micro welders and semi-automated equipment.
Due to the sensitive nature of the company all starters must be willing to undergo a security check prior to starting.
