Description
The contract is with a large financial organisation in Luxembourg and they are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator as follows:
Technical skills in one or more of the following:
- 5 years exp in Oracle RDBMS administration on Unix systems
- Exp in database support in mission critical environments with appropriate certification
- Good skills in database tuning
- Oracle 11g, 12c, MySQL, RMAN, EM Grid Control, PL/SQL
- Strong Unix/Linus Shell Scripting skills
Additional skills in one or more of the following areas an advantage:
- Oracle Dataguard, Oracle RAC, ASM, PHP, Indepth, EMC TimeFinder, Veritas Cluster, NetBackup and Volume Manager.
Fluent English, knowledge of French an advantage
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Administration of Oracle & MySQL databases in testing and development environments
- Database monitoring and tuning
- Maintain database backup and recovery procedures
- Technical and functional support of internal and external users of infrastructure.
