Resource Analyst - Resource Manager - Resource Analyst

Role: Resource Analyst

Type: Contract - 12 months (high possibility to get extended)

Daily rate: up to £250

Location: London or Dublin

My client is one of the world leaders in the digital market and they are looking for a Resource Analyst to join their fast-growing team on a contract basis.

An experienced professional with a thorough understanding of Resource Management processes and how it fits in the Consulting business. The RC will perform varied and complex duties and tasks requiring independent judgment in order to staff project roles with the best-fit consultants in the most advantageous timeframe for customer success. The RA will be responsible for presenting available internal and external partner resources to fit project demand and budget, and they will effectively partner with consulting management to maximize revenue opportunities, achieve the highest utilization, and increase customer satisfaction. The RA will use knowledge of the company's procedures and methodology, leading staffing practices, and creativity to solve a wide range of problems. The RA will be able to understand, at a high level, required consulting skill sets across all supported products and service lines.

The RA requires strong understanding of the tools available to be able to support reporting and provide statistical trend data in terms of open requirements, bench, availability, project staffing mix of resources, skills coverage, etc., as needed for management. Uses statistical trends to proactively identify resourcing issues for the practice and make recommendations to management for resolution.

Key Activities

Work Management

  • Responsible for the collection, management, and communication of detailed resource requirements for your assigned practice
  • Proactively identify resources to present for open requirements through a variety of methods including skills searches, discussions to other RAs, escalation calls with peers and management, etc. When no internal candidates are available within the required timeframe, the RA will leverage external partner resources
  • Understand the policy regarding partner usage and operates within the guidelines
  • Screen and make recommendations on candidate selection with PM or EM
  • Confirm assignment end dates by pro-actively inquiring on extension opportunities
  • Able to understand, at a high level, required consulting skill sets across all supported product and service lines; has detailed understanding of skills of assigned practice
  • Partner with managers to understand assigned consultants skill proficiencies and associated experience
  • Actively monitor the selection/acceptance process for assigned resources
  • Pro-actively monitor the bench and recommend creative ways to utilize consultants who lack high demand skill sets
  • Responsible for data integrity related to assigned requirements (ie start dates, staffing owner, skills details, status, candidate feedback) and consultant schedules
  • Support ad hoc resourcing reporting
  • Proactively identify resourcing issues for the practice and make recommendations for resolution
  • Review trends and provide managers analysis on key resourcing metrics
  • Educate assigned practice managers on resourcing roles and responsibilities, processes, policies and rules of engagements
  • Operate as a virtual member of your assigned practice and participate in meetings, bench calls and forecasting calls
  • Conducts business in a manner that provides value and instills confidence in the Resource Management team/function

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Resource Management and/or Consulting Professional Services
  • MS Office applications, Excel/Pivot tables, experience.
  • Must be detail-oriented, have a proactive approach and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple dependency projects against critical deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with strong people management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including the ability to research and simplify complex situations.
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethics and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English
