Description
A large Investment bank based in central London is seeking an experienced Java developer who has an excellent working knowledge of Swing to work on asynchronous messaging and Real Time data feeds within Fixed Income. A new external E-trading platform is being built which will allow trade execution combined with quote control, pricing, visualisation controls and trader dashboards. At present the platform is thick client and quant heavy, the goal is to move towards very Thin Client architecture. There is also the opportunity to work with latest Java UI technologies and some knowledge of HTML5 and CSS would be beneficial as there is a move towards these technologies on some projects. Desirables
- Knowledge of asynchronous messaging/Real Time data feeds (ideally RMDS/Tibco RV/ION MarketView)
- Experience with JavaFX and keen to work with the latest Java UI technologies
- Worked with both fat client and Thin Client architectures
- Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
- Familiarity with distributed archtectectures used for procing and e-trading
- Keen to work in a continuous integration development environment with automated testing
- Knowledge of Fixed Income
