Your tasks:
- Assessment of existing capabilities and USPs (unique selling propositions)
- Evaluation of market niches, needs and opportunities
- Compilation of a long list of specific product ideas, based on already existing internal analysis and complemented by additional ideas introduced by the market expert
- Prioritization of product ideas and narrowing down to a shortlist of promising themes
- Detailing of shortlist product ideas and sounding with potential clients in various segments of the North American asset management market (market expert needs to bring along most of these contacts)
- For the 2-3 most promising product ideas (as identified in the market sounding), generation of small "business plans" detailing the product idea, target client segment, potential initial client pipeline list
Your qualifications
- Senior and highly experienced expert of the North American fixed income & derivative markets
- Ability to structure and manage the project including the (highly senior) internal resources
- Coordination with the central new business project
- Strong network within the North American fixed income and asset management space (e.g. municipalities, fund managers, pension funds, insurance companies, banks, potential international Sovereign Wealth Funds) and the ability to tap this network for interviews and meetings
