Field Environmental Specialist (E&P Company) - Evans,CO

An independent oil and gas company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production is currently looking to grow their team in Evans, CO with the addition of a Field Environmental Specialist.

Relocation is available for out of state candidates.

As a Field Environmental Specialist you will be responsible for the following:
  • Assists as needed in compliance review activity with Corp ES&RC Group and periodically assists as a team member in cross-area audits
  • Helps implement new programs, policies and procedures to employees in a consistent manner
  • Conducts and/or tracks field observations that are required by state air regulatory rules
  • Assists in performing contractor site & equipment inspections
  • Assists in identifying recommendations for both OSHA and EPA regulation compliance
  • Assists the regional safety leaders in managing safety on drilling, completions and construction project sites
  • Assists in the handling and disposal and tracking of E&P wastes that are generated from environmental incidents
  • Coordinates with field operations and environmental compliance group to conduct thorough initial emissions leak checks on new facilities
  • Attends seminars and training as necessary in order to develop an understanding of area federal, state and local safety requirements
  • Prepare reports/recommendations for Corp Safety Manager

Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline with environmental or safety studies preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations as they pertain to safety and environmental related matters
  • Current First Aid/CPR certifications preferred
  • Prior relevant experience in Oil & Gas E&P operations strongly preferred
  • Operate a vehicle safely in all weather conditions to drive to oil and gas equipment located in rural/open range country
  • Work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, mud, etc. - work is performed in hazardous driving and working conditions all season of the year
  • Must have valid driver's license and be able to pass a driving and criminal background check
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required
  • Good interpersonal and written communication, organization and analytical skills
  • Strong ability to work in a consultative manner with every level of internal/external staff/contacts
