Design Engineer (Product Development) - WiganOne of the UK's leading names in the design and manufacture of Leisure Furniture Products who are based in the Wigan area are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineers in their Innovation (R&D) Department and they require a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent base to design a new range of products to satisfy their client's requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide the design and development of the products, from concept to modelling, testing, injection moulding
- Modify the products if needs to
- Modify existing products
- Understand and interpret the customer's requirements
- Contribute to peer design reviews,
- Undertake requirements capture.
Technical Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical/ Design/Engineering related subject (preferably at 2.1 Hons or higher);
- Experience in designing for injection moulding products
- Innovating mind
- Working with 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD), such as Autodesk Inventor
- Knowledge of SolidWorks,
- Writing engineering reports
- Communicating effectively, both internally and externally
For the successful Mechanical Design Engineer, a salary reflective of experience is on offer and this Mechanical Design Engineer role is commutable from Wigan, Preston, Liverpool, Warrington, Haydock, St Helens, Manchester & Blackburn.
