Informatica ETL Developer - Investment firm - City
Our client is a leading Investment firm in the City who are looking for Informatica development resource for a their EAI and centralized data programmes.
The role will entail development of data mappings, workflows and ensuring ETL development work is in line with group technical and data architecture standards. The role will also provide input into these standards and contribute to solution design, development, testing and implementation.
Technical skill set sought:
- PowerCenter 9.1+ Mappings and Workflows
- Understanding of Data Warehousing and Datamodelling
- Physical schema creation (DDL).
- Expert SQL (including analytical SQL, PL/SQL and query tuning), preferably in Oracle.
- Knowledge of XML data structures and how to process them in Informatica
The following functional knowledge would also be of benefit:
- Exposure to Informatica IDQ, would be beneficial
- Exposure to Informatica DVO, would be beneficial
- Exposure to UC4 scheduling tool, would be beneficial
- Exposure to Informatica Data Transformation would be beneficial
- Investment/fund management or Institutional Banking.
- Financial markets data.
- Data quality, use of data quality and profiling processes and tools.
- Purpose and value of metadata, eg glossaries, taxonomies.
- Operational and project-based IT processes/life cycles.
