Retail Promotions Consultant London £500-£550
The Opportunity
The company have recently launched a new tool in the UK in 2013 which allows all B2C sellers to
merchandise retail promotions on the website. The aim of the tool is to enable the team of sellers
to offer great new deals to buyers that increase order size and spend through bundle offers,
targeted and compelling discounts on their inventory.
In order to drive quality adoption and usage we are looking for a contract consultant with substantial retail experience to work directly with our account managers and sellers across Europe to bring high quality promotional offers to eBay as quickly as possible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with account managers and sellers in Dublin and Berlin to construct, measure and optimise retail promotions to increase order size and drive incremental sales to a specific H2 sales target
- Providing formal and ad hoc support and training to the account management team and sellers on how to use Promotions Manager and retail promotions best practice
- Working independently to source and analyse data in order to make recommendations on retail promotion opportunities on a seller by seller basis
- Identifying high performing sellers and offers to add to high traffic areas of the site
- Liase with the product development team in North America to help build a 2015 roadmap based on local business priorities.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Substantial experience in online retail promotions, merchandising and pricing a must
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to extract and translate insight into actionable conclusions
- Extremely strong communication skills both written and verbal to internal and external audiences
- Prior experience as trainer, manager or consultant in this field preferred
- Track record of providing proactive and creative solutions to problems with minimal
- supervision
This position will report to the business product manager who is based in Richmond but requires time in Dublin and Berlin working directly with our account managers (2 days/week).
The remainder of time will be spent in our Richmond office or on site with our largest UK sellers
