Our client, an electronic manufacturing organisation, is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to work on a contract basis within their R&D Centre. They are looking for a suitable candidate to join ASAP where the position will be based in the Netherlands and will contribute their knowledge in Software Development. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who are working as a Senior Software Engineer and would like to take on team leading responsibility and with a scope to grow themselves into an Architect position in the near future.Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will take up the role of project lead and software architect/engineer for the software implementation of a wireless charging system.
• To locally lead a small project team and cooperate with of-site project lead
• Cooperate closely with a system architect, cooperate hands-on with the SW development
• Goal is to realize a wireless charging system reference design
Job Requirements:
We are looking for a highly innovative and self-motivated individual for this Senior Embedded Software Engineer position.
Must Have Skills:
• Education level: MSc computer science
• >5 years of relevant experience, ambition towards project lead role
• Knowledge of C programming language in embedded SW environment
• Ability to execute hands-on embedded software development
• Work experience in the development and implementation of embedded systems
• Experience with testing and system level integration
• Basic knowledge of device control through standard interfaces like UART, PWM and I2C
• Capable of working in an environment with uncertainty and unknowns
• Good English communication skills and can explain the choice of software and system development in a clear and concise way to other engineers and departments
Nice to Have Skills:
• Experience with Blue Tooth Low Energy is a preference
• Experience with wireless charging Qi, PMA or A4WP protocols is a preference
• Candidates who are based in the Netherlands are preferable
