Description
The Web Developer/Mobile Developer will be responsible for the mobile and front end application development with flexible skills to help guide the build and grow of an existing platform. Self-direction, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to dynamic environment will be necessary skills in a small team. Interest in GIS and imaging helpful. In return, there is a lot of flexibility in the means and methods you use to get things done. The client wants a product that looks good and functions well, a lot of the in between is left to you and the development team.The Team: This position is with a small company where you will function as the FrontEnd Developer (small team, as in you and a BackEnd Developer, who functions as the Lead of Development).
Flexible environment: This is a full-time position. Remote work. Can work anywhere in the US. Occasional visits to Tampa office. The two individuals running this startup have founded other successful technology businesses.
About you: As much as you love learning new technology, you're quick to learn the best use and applications of each and have enough depth and breadth of experience to make an educated recommendation on which technologies to use. You work well in a team and understand the dynamics of working in a small remote team.
You're familiar enough with the corporate world to know what works, and what is unnecessary red tape. You prefer to get stuff done. You're the type of person that less experienced and sometimes even more experienced developers like to work with. You work best when everyone brings something to the table. You learn as much from them as they learn from you. If you don't have a solution, you can find one through research or through a personal network you have developed.
You can communicate effectively in person, by phone, by skype, and in writing, such as emails, documentation and social media. Working remotely, you understand the importance of communication.
Flexible Technology: The client is open to some of your preferences and recommendations for technology use. They are tech savvy, but are open-minded to considering better and more efficient ways.
