Description :
We are searching for a Senior Project Manager with a strong technical background.
The candidate must have a proved track record in program management & in people management.

MAIN TASKS
1. Build and manage the applications within his application portfolio:
- Responsible for estimates for modifications to existing applications within the agreed budget and timing
- Responsible to Deliver approved modifications and extensions to applications or build new applications
- Responsible to Guarantee the high quality of applications within his portfolio, regarding functionality, availability and performance.
- Responsible to Ensure right testing of releases and enhancements together with Test Manager
- Responsible to Guarantee the use of standards, policies and methodologies, like prescribed and validated by ICT.
- Responsible to Manage relationship with external providers when Managed Services contract are established with external providers
2. Follow and establish clear & professional relationship with Project department:
- Delivery and define work packages in close collaboration with PM
- Responsible for the creation, follow up and management of work packages and a good collaboration with Project Services and IOS
- Deliver regular, transparent and to the point reporting to PM
- Responsible to ensure a correct handover of project towards services.
3. Lead a team of Software Engineers (Developers, Functional analysts,…):
- Evaluate, motivate and develop the team members, as well regarding technical (together with competence center lead) as soft skills
- Coach the team members in their development
- Formulate & evaluate yearly objectives and follow up the results
- Define and discuss Personal development plan with each team members
- Help Establish and support a culture of continuous improvements (iBoat)
- Responsible to establish clear and transparent communication towards team members (cascade of meeting)
- Ensure an efficient balance between knowledge, resources and cost control. Look for saving where possible
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Able to negotiate and present to people of all levels in the organization
4. Reach the objectives of the Application Services Group:
- Establish and support a culture of zero defect.
- Define, measure and follow up the supporting KPI's
- Adjust the team focus if necessary in order to realize the KPI's
- Support the definition and set up of SLA & OLA with BU and/or others ICT departments, eg Infra.
- Responsible of the customer satisfaction in his application area. Ensure clear and regular communication loop to ensure Business needs are captured and correctly understood.
5. Responsible for the stability and performance (of the applicative side) of their applications:
- Elaborate the Application Lifecycle Management in collaboration with the Application Architect (a.o. the documentation, the architectural vision, etc)
- Incident resolving and problem management for his applications
- Accountable for guaranteeing the quality of the applications (in collaboration with the project leaders and the IOS department)
6. Form a bridge between his team and ICT Senior Management (Head of Application Services + Application Services Manager + ICT Committee) and other departments:
- Act as representative of the ICT Senior Management (Head of Application Services + Application Services Manager + ICT Committee) for his department
- Introduce the ICT strategy in his department
- Guard the alignment of the ICT-strategy en decisions of his department
- Representative of his department towards ICT Senior Management (Head of Application Services + Application Services Manager + ICT Committee)
Technical skills:
* Must have's
- Experience in Agile or Waterfall development
- Experience in People Management
- Experience in Management of Java Developers team
- Experience in Management of Third party suppliers particularly in the Finance (Oracle eBS) & Human Resources (Peoplesoft) domains.
- Experience in management of near/off-shore teams
* Nice to have's
- Experience using eclipse, SQL developer or toad
- Experience using Java 1.5 and higher
- Good knowledge of Data modeling and SQL in an Oracle environment
- Good knowledge of Java: Struts, Hibernate, Jboss, Apache, Vaadin knowledge is a plus
- Release coordination experience is a plus: Ivy, Ant, Jenkins
- Strong analytical skills: Patterns & Thinking with business
- Experience of Third party suppliers
- Experience in near/off-shore team/project management

LANGUAGES
- Fluent in Dutch and/or French with at least excellent understanding of the other language.
