A large investment bank in Midtown, NYC is looking for a Sr. Java Developer to work on their document management integration projects. This application will be interfacing with the business users, tech leads and change teams to generate technical data solutions.Location: Midtown, NYC
Duration: 6 Months +
Rate: Competitive and depends of experience (W2 or C2C)

JOB SPEC:
Main Duties
* Design, code, debug, test and support applications written in Java
* Write requirement specifications, functional specifications, design specifications and test case documents
* Participate in design discussions and code reviews
* Diagnose problems found by other developers, QA, customers, etc and provide timely bug fixes as required
* Take responsibility for maintenance as well as further development of code developed by others
* Perform builds and software releases
Person Requirements
* Very strong communication skills, able to deliver presentations to large numbers of developers or small groups of executive management.
* Strong written communication, able to deliver proposals with financial detail.
* Good networking skills to form relationships within senior IT management.
Skill Requirements
* Programming experience in Java
* Knowledge of UI frameworks (JavaFX, GWT)
* Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for high volume, high throughput processing
* Specialist domains: web services (SOAP & RESTful), document management expertise
* Working knowledge of Spring Framework
* Working Knowledge of Linux / Unix OS Environment
* Working knowledge of Content Manager on Demand or similar ECM technologies.
Vendor Technologies
* Experience with toolsets, understanding of tools like:
1. Document Management Tools (IBM OnDemand, IBM FileNet).
2. Project Management softwares, (Microsoft Project, Jira)
3. Scheduling packages (AutoSys)
4. Web Application Servers (Jboss, TomCat, Weblogic)
