Description
We are seeking a UCS Engineer that can assist with the support an external client. The utilization of this engineer will initially be 25% - 50% to assist in supporting the existing data center team. The engineer will help support the currently install UCS domains that reside in both production and lab environments. Attend customer meetings and provide recommendations for future UCS deployments as well as presentation of recommendations. The engineer may be required to provide node health checks, assist with new UCS deployments and troubleshooting of encountered issues with UCS.
Required Experience:
- Customer presentation Skills
- UCS-C and UCS-B Series Platforms
- UCS Manager
- VMware vSphere & vCenter, understanding of virtualized environments and how VMware vSphere (ESX), the VC component, VMWare suite of support products
- Service Provider Data Center Architectures for UCS
- UCS Operational Validation & Troubleshooting
This resource can be located anywhere they have access to a major airport, preferably in the Eastern or Central time zones. Most of the work will be remote, but travel could be required depending on issues that come up. The candidate must be able to support work during Maintenance Windows, typically between 12:00 mid-night and 6:00 AM. An established network of contacts within TAC and the BU is a plus. This only occurs maybe once a month.
