Description
About you- You're both a tinkerer and an aesthete. You like to write code that gives mobile and wearable devices magic abilities. You have a passion for building great products that are both robust and enjoyable to use.
- You understand and follow best practices and idioms for Android software. Ideally, you also have experience with other languages and are comfortable contributing tweaks to backend code if needed.
- You have a passion for stretching the boundaries of what's possible on wearable hardware.
- You'll build end-user applications and core platform services for various devices running the Android stack
- You'll work with designers, product managers, and other engineers to imagine, build, and launch successful products and features that will have immediate impact to some of the world's leading companies.
- You'll balance rapid prototyping with production-grade code, and as an early employee, you'll refine best practices and lead by example.
- You'll work with our clients to spec out, create proofs of concept, and implement products across industries that are leap-frogging the legacy technologies.
- You have a BS or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- You have at least 1 year of professional software engineering experience where you've built and shipped a product as part of a team
- Experience with Java, C++, the Android SDK and a working knowledge of NDK.
- You build with the end user in mind, and you're comfortable with self-directed learning on the job
- The desire to produce fool-proof products for the end user
- Senior Android Engineer:You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- You have experience developing for video calls and streaming, and a working knowledge of OpenGL ES
- You have experience developing on core systems for mobile devices (networking, multi-threading, Bluetooth/WiFi, periphery devices)
- Fluent in NDK or embedded Linux development
