Description
In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with SW/HW architects to explore System on a Chip (SoC) performance and power trade-offs. You will work with product managers to define the important and emerging use cases and corresponding performance targets. Responsibilities include define the technology in compute, media, fabric, memory, etc. and file patentable ideas. In addition, provide design recommendations to the team and ensure the goal is met at all phases of the project.Responsibilities- Develop the software architectural model of various subsystems within a SoC.
- Implement reusable and scalable model components for software simulation and hardware emulation platforms.
- Perform pre-silicon performance simulation and post-silicon validation.
- Create scripts and tools to automate test suites and improve the efficiency of functional and performance simulator.
- Effectively communicate the analysis results in both qualitative and quantitative fashion.
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree in EE or CS or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in System on a Chip (SoC) architecture performance analysis, tools and simulators.
- Experience with C or C++.
Preferred qualifications
- MS or PhD degree.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog.
- Domain knowledge in one of these areas, CPU, GPU, Fabric, Memory, Camera, Video, Display, Security.
- Knowledge of OS, Firmware, SW stack, OpenGL, OpenCL, Java, Codec.
- Knowledge of hardware performance monitors or profiling. Proficient with a scripting language.
