Role: Network Core IP Manager
Daily Rate: Negociable
Location: Dublin City Centre
Type: 6 month contract with view for extension

A global giant in the Telco industry requires a Network Core IP manager to run an operations team. This is a 6 month contract position with scope for extension.

Day-to-day:

- Manage the Third and Fourth Line Support Teams to ensure that all Network Core IP/Data Operations Functions and Processes are supported in delivering the networks Services to defined performance levels.
- Develop and implement "Best in Class" Support Management processes in conjunction with the overall Network Core IP/Data Operations Team which will act as a technical centre of excellence for supported services
- Support Customer & Technical Trouble Report Process (Inc Escalation) within SLA targets working with Operations team.
- Work with and support Technology Operations and problem management process ensuring SLA targets are met or exceeded
- Ensure that all firewall configuration changes are implemented on time
- Manage Vendor relationships including SLA management and monitoring.
- Create and manage a "Core Data/IP Dashboard" which clearly defines Service Performance Trends and Functional Performance.
- Manage the Availability, Capacity and Business Continuity Processes for Network Core Data/IP Operations.
- Monthly performance reporting to operations senior management in accordance with agreed SLA
- Implement new and innovative initiatives across the 3rd line Operational processes.
- Carry out management responsibilities including Performance Management, Team Briefs, and Staff Development etc.
- Perform various management duties as directed by the Head of Network Operations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

- CCNA or similar experience
- CCNP security or similar experience.
- Requires a minimum of Bachelors degree in a related field or foreign equivalent
- Cisco Firewall experience
- Checkpoint Firewall
- At least 5 years' experience with an Operations centre / mobile telecommunications background..
