Extra Technology is currently recruiting on behalf a global technology company for a Procurement/
Sourcing Specialist with good rounded procurement experience encompassing IT/Telecoms, administrative categories such as Car Fleet, Professional Services, Travel/Events etc. and should have been familiar with the EMEA region and history working on cross-country sourcing activities.

Sourcing:

  • Source goods and services globally.
  • Understand the current internal and external markets for the commodities to be sourced.
  • Collect information including volumes, locations, suppliers, pricing - baseline and industry best practice mechanisms, specifications, forecasts, and overall industry analysis.
  • Mastery of the current sourcing strategies and ability to determine the most appropriate strategy based on the category to be sourced.
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Develop and maintain long term relationships with internal customers and key suppliers within the market.
  • Conduct comprehensive supplier research to identify new suppliers. Screen potential suppliers effectively.
  • Update internal supplier database as necessary.
  • Develop all bid related materials for RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, reverse auction or other strategy selected. .
  • Interact with internal and/or external legal counsel to develop/customize contracts for inclusion in RFPs.
  • Clearly articulate terms to the internal team and to suppliers.
  • Solicit assistance from the ESM center of excellence to develop supplier performance measures that provide maximum value to the company, while minimizing risk exposure.
  • Establish evaluation processes and criteria and develop decision tools, prior to bids being received.
  • Evaluation bid responses.
  • Provide evaluation criteria and tools for project team.
  • Develop negotiation strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through negotiations.
  • Achieve the desired results, while contracting for the best value.
  • Effectively use all technology tools available - e-Sourcing, spend analytics, financial system and others.
  • Display expertise in the recommendations and decisions to use various e-Sourcing tools.
  • Identify areas for improvement and set expectations for future directions.

Contracts Management

  • Establish and refresh new corporate policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) around the contract process to support the global Procurement organization.
  • Participate in special projects to improve processes across the organization in relation to the contracting process.
  • Develop, manage, maintain and improve contract management systems globally
  • Develop, manage, and maintain contract templates, procedures and contracting guidelines for the global Procurement organization.
  • Supporting the procurement process including providing input to SOWs, development of technical evaluation criteria, assistance with evaluation of vendor proposals and guidance during contract formulation, drafting and negotiation.
  • Partner with the Legal organization for support to help with contract negotiations and overall legal guidance for all matters as defined within our engagement and standard operating procedures for contracts.
  • Maintain a consistent communication channel with the Legal teams globally
  • Support the mergers and acquisition's process for all matters relating to the procurement organization
  • Deliver all reporting requirements weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually as required to support the procurement organization.
  • Support special requests for executive level requirements
  • Provide contract guidance and training to all of Procurement, Legal, and the business as required.
  • Maintain contracts database management responsibilities for content and accuracy
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors and other reporting departments as required.
  • Operate with the appropriate measures of authority and judgment
  • Assist in contract close out including identifying, disseminating best practices and lessons learned
