Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced Network specialist with proven skills and experience with Juniper and ExtremeThe main purpose of the role is to join a small team of network support consultants who provide 2nd and 3rd line support, and work extensively on the networking component of infrastructure projects.
The role is a genuine mix of all three elements and you should be able to act as a mentor on networking issues. It is expected you will have an extensive knowledge of network Switches, Routers and Firewalls, and you will be capable of configuring and supporting a multi location environment. Extreme switch experience is highly desirable however I'm happy to speak with candidates from any networking background (Cisco, Juniper etc).
Network qualifications would be helpful (ECS, ECE, ECA, CCNP, CCIE etc) but are not essential if you are able to demonstrate the right level of practical experience.
It will be an advantage if you are also capable of providing basic support on Windows infrastructure software. Experience of working in a structured environment such as ITIL would be beneficial; however the ability to work in a structured and well documented way within a defined but not restrictive governance framework is essential.
