Communication/Content Manager
Temporary - 20-25 hours per week
Duration - Maternity Cover

The post is a double hatted role - 'Site Communications Manager' has a dotted line report to the UK Head of Communications.

Responsibilities:

*Be the focal point and interface for all communications activities relating to the site (including crisis communications, relations to HR, trade unions and consultative committees)

*Point of contact and consultant to Head of Site

*Gather relevant information on the site through internal and external networks

*Address communications needs to the Country Head of Communications, Business Partners and
Functions

*Contribute to the implementation of communication activities

*Be the local communications representative to external communications stakeholders at the site.

Specific activities:

*Create the overall communications strategy for the site, considering sponsorship and CSR activities, stakeholder management, crisis comms, business development, sales and internal communications requirements.

*Identify PR opportunities from the site and work with UK Head of Communications and Media team to maximise them.

*Manage the Site Communications Budget including time sheets, expenses and contracts of internal communications and media consultants.

*Manage any site re branding activity or branding requests from suppliers or other parts of the business.

*Attend UK Communications co-ordination meetings and weekly calls.

The role is also 'Content Manager UK', and is responsible for the communications content of the Client in the UK and part of an international Strategic Marketing Services team.

The role is responsible for:

*Image of the brand in the UK - regarding look, feel and strategic messages of the Communications tools used within Regional Marketing campaigns.

*Strategic Business Partner to the Clients Regional Sales & Marketing teams, advising on the external communications tools and content for Regional campaigns.

Specific activities:

*Marketing Communications support and advice to BL & Sales in order to help them reach business targets (order intake) and optimise budget spending. Sign off of marketing communications content coming from the Region.

*Act as facilitator between Marketing/Sales and the Communications function to deliver communications tools

*Moderate strategic projects to assure messaging, branding, proper information flow, transparency of actions and activities and results.

*Support the sponsorship team with training to regional teams on compliant sponsorship, membership and donation activities when required.

*Advise the Head of Strategic Marketing Services on the strategic conferences, sponsorships and events of the region

*In association with the Head of Communications UK, create the Client's UK Communications Plan.

*Create UK communications tools (presentation, ads, interactive videos, infograhics) ensuring they are targeted, relevant, engaging and are consistent in look and feel and strategic messaging.

*Share and develop best practice within the Strategic Marketing Services team.

*International and UK travel may be required - approximately 2 days a month to other European sites.

Candidate requirements:

Contractor needed on a part time basis, between 20 - 25 hours a week. Flexibility on hours/days worked is both offered by the company and required to fulfil the role.

Candidate must have experience of advising on Communications strategy to Board level. An established Marketing and/or Communications background including experience in Marketing Communications and Content Creation is also essential.

Experience of copyrighting, branding, internal communications and working in a Matrix, international organisation would be advantageous.
