Description
Senior Systems Engineer required to conduct system engineering and requirement management activities to ensure products are designed to meet customer requirements.
Typical activities will include the below:
Generation of system requirements for a complex cryptographic product.
System Design and Use Case definition to implementation level.
Creation of internal and external interface control documents.
Technical liaison with hardware, firmware and software engineering & test teams to ensure requirements are correctly defined and traced and meet defined quality criteria.
Authoring technical documentation.
Use of requirements management database tools.
Support technical reviews and evaluation activities.
Definition of verification and acceptance criteria for requirements.
Analysis and assessment of performance requirements and specifications.
Presentation of technical material.
Regular reporting to the Systems Team Lead and the Systems Design Authority.
The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Low level design/implementation knowledge experience required.
Systems design or systems architecture definition experience required
Relevant complex Embedded systems experience required
Familiarity with the system engineering life cycle and V-model.
Experience of systems design including generation of Use Cases and UML models.
First-class analytical, design and problem solving skills.
Experience in breaking down user requirements into detailed requirement specifications.
Flair for communicating the requirement definitions to the hardware, software & firmware engineering teams.
Articulate with good communications skills; able to effectively communicate clearly and unambiguously with stakeholders.
Self-motivated and able to work to budgets and timescales individually and as part of a team.
Experience of defining test strategies to allow verification of requirements.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
