Description
A growing company, based in Cheshire, is currently looking to add a SQL developer with excel skills, to develop a pricing analysis tool for usage within the business.This tool will allow them to monitor both supplier and competitor pricing, which will in turn allow business decisions to be made quickly - they deal with thousands of small (Under £200) transactions per day, so a 1% change in cost price will impact the business revenue heavily!
They are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running, and get the project moving ASAP. You will have worked on this kind of project before, either for a similar E-commerce company, a financial sector organisation or have demonstrable evidence of this kind of work.
The end goal of this project is to have a fully working pricing tool for the business, that will draw information from a product library of over 55,000 competitors, and that will allow 4 key variables to be related easily by the finance and operations team - Supplier, Margin, Competitor and Stock.

Duties :
- Extract and present data and interpret and feedback suggestions, specifically around supplier pricing and prices vs competitors in order to maximize margin.
- Developing SQL queries/reports, ODBC connections
- Analysing large SKU ranges; sales, margin, units, mix
- Building pricing algorithms
