Site Administrator - Temporary Vacancy - Part Time - ASAP Start - 7 month contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated Admin Assistant to join a well-known construction company on a temporary contract basis with an immediate start date. The role is for general Administration support so good general computer and communication skills, verbally and written are important. This is a part time role for 3 days a week (8 hours per day).

The successful administrator is to support and provide assistance to the project team. To ensure that tasks are prioritised effectively and completed in line with deadlines. To support and liaise with other offices within the business, both site based and regional, to ensure the smooth running of the Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Type variety of documents including majority of site specific correspondence. Maintain/set up filing systems
  • Answer phones - screen/handle routine and/or non-critical items - pass others on to supervisors
  • Ability to transcribe meeting minutes.
  • Manage site office to include maintenance, equipment and supplies
  • May write reports, letters, memos etc. for supervisor's
  • Coordinate and process general administrative work (time sheets, vacation requests, supply requisitions etc.)
  • Compile monthly reports as required.
  • Distributing documentation received from Head Office
  • Data inputting to various software programs
  • Support the Team centre team as required
  • Management and control of drawings and documents on site
  • Booking and managing the various meetings and meeting locations and venues as required.

Skills Required (Essential):

  • Educational and experience requirements include high school diploma, plus one or two year's business school, or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Secretarial and administrative experience would be beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of business procedures, letter and report formats and an ability to type 65-70 wpm accurately.
  • Experience of working within a busy office environment
  • Competent IT User (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

(Desirable):

  • Previous experience within the construction/civil engineering industry
