Description

The successful candidate will provide training and support to GP practices in Hampshire. They will be working within a well-established, supportive team of trainers, specifically to provide back-fill for one of our trainers whilst they are on secondment in another role.  This is a really interesting, varied role, which comes with the freedom of being on the road' a lot as they will be visiting GP practices around Hampshire, whilst being supported by a really experienced team of co-workers.  Whilst you will be working remotely much of the time, the candidate will also have an office base (which can be either Aldershot or Eastleigh).

Key Duties and responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for designated patch' of GP practices.
  • Either answering GP practice queries themselves, or signposting them to the relevant person/department (depending on the type of query, and the candidate's skills/knowledge).
  • Preparing and delivering training to GP practice staff.
  • Supporting GP practices whilst preparing to upgrade their clinical systems.
  • Floor-walking on Go Live day when practices upgrade their clinical systems.

It is essential to have the below skill set, however the client will take into account your experience and skills and will match the duties to your strengths.

  • Experience of preparing & delivering training to individuals and groups of people
  • Knowledge and understanding of GP practice clinical systems eg EMIS Web, TPP SystmOne, INPS Vision
  • Experience of working with GP practices/CCGs.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and within a team
  • Car-user

Knowledge of the below is desirable:

  • Experience/knowledge of Choose & Book (referring side)
  • Experience/knowledge of Choose & Book (provider side)

You will be required to:

  • Develop and implement the training and data quality aspects of national and local projects and services for implementation within the CSU and its customer base including but not limited to CCGs and GP Practices.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance and support to CSU customers on the management and use of primary care data
  • Be responsible for primary care data analysis to support system and service reform, assess data quality, monitor performance, inform the implementation of the National Standard Framework and other national quality initiatives  
  • Be a key member of the ICT Training Team, and support effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally
