Program Risk Management Lead-Greenwood Village, CO

Job Summary

This 6+ month contract opportunity is for a Program Risk Management Lead role for a major health care provider in Greenwood Village, CO.  The individual in this role will act as a subject matter expert in support of independent assessments of large enterprise-level programs. The Program Risk Management Lead will be responsible for performing quantitative (metrics) and qualitative (interviews) risk analyses of large programs to assess performance-to-date and to identify the risk to achieving the business objectives and the delivery of benefits. This individual will have exceptional skills and a breadth of experience in the disciplines of program management, project management, and risk management. In addition, this individual will have the ability to partner with and to effectively communicate assessment results to project managers, program managers, key stakeholders, and executive leadership. 

Requirements: 
Engage with the Program Management Office (PMO) and team members to independently assess large program performance and risk based on the established TRM risk management standard and PPRM methodology. 
Develop assessment schedules, proposals, and deliverables; monitor assessment status; report assessment progress; and propose recovery plans. 
Identify and document the current state of program processes and tools as related to the established PPRM risk categories and metrics (budget, schedule, resources, scope, quality). 
Collect and analyze the required program information (eg, data, plans, artifacts, etc.); interview program team members; develop program scorecards and dashboards; develop assessment reports; and communicate assessment results. 
Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration and process improvement with other KP organizations as related to the monitoring and reporting of large program performance and risk. 

Basic Qualifications 
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 4 years of equivalent experience. 
A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading or supporting a Program Management Office (PMO) in managing large enterprise-level programs and projects, and in reporting to management on program status, risk, and issues. 
Experience in the disciplines of program management, project management, and risk management. 
Experience in the design, implementation, and improvement of quantitative risk analysis methods (metrics, Monte Carlo simulation) and qualitative risk analysis methods (interviews, root cause analysis, prioritization) as related to program/project constraints (budget, schedule, resources, scope, quality). 
Experience in managing or supporting program and project life cycles, phases, processes, and financial management. 
Proven success performing as both an individual contributor and as a team member. 
Excellent analytic and communication (verbal and written) skills. 
Experience in MS Office, Project, and Visio. 

Preferred Qualifications 
Experience in the healthcare or healthcare insurance industries. 
Healthcare IT background. 
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification. 
Master's degree or MBA. 

Minimum Number of Years of Experience Required
