Seeking a System Engineer to perform the following duties:

Design and assist build server operating systems.

Setup Systems in Microsoft Azure and IBM Softlayer cloud environment and fully support those Servers..

Set up services on Servers to support the network.

Office 365 migration and MS exchange support.

Provide Tier 1 support; conduct remote and on-site technical support.

Manage software releases; document, report and follow-up with technology vendors regarding problems with and enhancements of modifications to their products and services.

Attend and participate in staff meetings, workshops, troubleshooting teams. .

Ensure security of data, equipment and facilities at all times.

Network Monitoring/Control

QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of:

1. Server and network experience with Microsoft Windows server and Cisco required.

2. Methods, operations, materials, tools and terminology related to the installation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of technology equipment.

3. Use and operations of technology hardware and software.

4. Proper configuration control, records maintenance and storage for local and distributed environments.

5. MS Azure, IBM Softlayer and other cloud service experience required

6: Office 365 setup and migration required.

7: EMC or IBM SAN experience desirable.

8. Network Operations Control experience, especially iDashboard

Ability to:

1. Read, interpret and apply concepts found in schematic diagrams, complex technical publications, service manuals and other documents.

2. Learn software and hardware products with and without formal training, and successfully adapt to changes in technology.

3. Use precision tools, testing equipment and procedures to isolate, locate and correct hardware and software problems. (SolarWinds)

4. Work effectively either independently or as a team member.

5. Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field by reading, interpreting and applying information presented in trade journals, newspaper and magazines.

6. Meet schedules and timelines.

7. Maintain documentation and records.

8. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.

9. Understand and carry out oral and written directions.

10. Communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.

11. Interpret, apply and explain policies and procedures.

12. Work additional hours during the week and/or weekend if required. On-call rotation every 4 weeks.
